Jamestown (CSi) An exclusivity agreement was approved by the Spiritwood Energy Park Association (SEPA), Friday. The board also requested a member of the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation to explore a current Chapul Farms site to learn more about the business.

JSDC VP of Business Development Corry Shevlin says the exclusivity agreement would allow Chapul Farms to conduct a feasibility study of what a potential project would bring. There is no specific site picked at this time.

Chapul Farms designs, builds, and operates modular insect farms that turn organic waste into high-value food and agricultural products as a model of circular food systems of the future.

Shevlin says the company recently had representatives onsite to view the Spiritwood Energy Park and a possible project.
