Jamestown (JPD) Jamestown Police warns the public that a high-risk sex offender is residing in Jamestown.

27 year old Demetrius Daniel, resides at 315 3rd Avenue Southwest. He currently does not own a vehicle.

Daniel is described as black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Daniel was assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General. He is on probation with North Dakota Parole and Probation.

Daniel was convicted on two counts of gross sexual imposition in 2016 in Stutsman County District Court. When Daniel was 19 years old, he engaged in a sex act with a 12-year-old girl, authorities said. Daniel received 30 months with credit for 172 days served and five years probation.

Daniel is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.
