Jamestown (CSi) Smoke detectors alerted to a possible fire in an apartment building at Garden Hills at 1221 5th Street Northeast in Jamestown about 12:15-pm. Sunday

After no answer at the apartment door, Jamestown Police on the scene arrived before the Jamestown City Fire Department, entered the apartment and found it was unattended cooking, although the occupants were home.

No injuries and no damage reported.

Smoke was extracted from the building with 18 city fire fighters on the scene.
