Jamestown Officials with Commonwealth Development Corporation inform residents that the Downtown Jamestown low- to moderate-income housing project that has been in progress for over two years will soon be finished.
“Eagle Flats is currently projecting a mid [to] late December 2022 completion date,” says Tyler Sheeran, Development Associate with Commonwealth Development Corporation.
Groundbreaking and construction was originally set to begin on the 33 apartment building in the summer of 2020. The project includes demolition of the former Eagles building and redevelopment of the 0.7-acre parcel with a four story multifamily apartment structure.
The $8.688 million Eagle Flats is now looking to fill the apartment units.
“Our property management company, Metro Plains, is currently accepting tenant application,” Sheeran explained.
Eagle Flats participates in the LIHTC program. Residency will be limited to low and moderate income households. These include:
