Valley City (Chamber0 The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce and the local DMV office will be moving to Central Avenue and open at the new location at 253 Central Avenue North, Suite 101.December 6th.

The DMV and Chamber offices will be closed from Thursday, December 1st to Monday, December 5th as the offices are moved and established. Staff members are still available via email during this time. The DMV will reopen for business Tuesday, December 6th. A grand opening celebration will follow at a later date.

Executive Vice President, Kay Vinje says, “With our membership growing and the need to provide more member-focused benefits, this move helps better align our location with the needs of our members.”

The move will allow the Chamber to better serve members of the Chamber and provide additional support for businesses and organizations.

Chamber Board President Penny Wolla says, “Our Chamber exists to serve the membership and this move will help us do that more fully. ‘As a business owner, I am excited to see the new things the Chamber is working on in regards to education, promotion and overall support for our business community. This is an exciting time for our Chamber.”

In addition to managing the DMV location for Valley City, the Chamber coordinates efforts including Chamber Bucks, Ambassador visits, Business After Hours, ribbon cutting events, the annual Chamber Celebration & Awards and other community events.

Aa quote from Jennifer Feist, Director of Economic Development, who has been a co-resident with the Chamber in the Rosebud Visitor Center, states, “We will continue to collaborate with the Chamber of Commerce and identify specific ways in which our work can complement one another. We will miss having Kay, Tracey and Amanda in the building and wish them the very best.”
