Wahpeton, N.D. (KFGO) – Wahpeton Police have released the name of a man who died last week after a domestic argument.
Police said 54-year-old Charles Cox, of Wahpeton, and a woman both had serious injuries when they arrived at a home in the 400 block of 8th Street S. after the woman called police to report she was being assaulted by a man. He later died at the hospital in Breckenridge.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was flown to a Fargo hospital.
A report from the medical examiner said Cox died of severe blood loss from multiple sharp force injuries.
The incident happened on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Richland County State’s Attorney Megan Kummer said she has not received any police reports related to the case.

Wahpeton (KFGO) – A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital with serious non life-threatening injuries after an incident in Wahpeton on Wednesday.
In a press release, police said a woman called officers to a home in the 400 block of 8th Street just before 8:30 a.m. where the woman said she was being physically assaulted by a man. Officers from the Wahpeton and North Dakota State College of Science Police Departments found the man and woman, who live together, with serious injuries.
The man and woman were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge where the man died. The woman was airlifted to a Fargo hospital. Her condition has not been released.
Police said there is no threat to the public. The incident remains under investigation.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office, North Dakota BCI, and Southeast Multi-County Agency assisted during the incident.

Wahpeton (Valley News Live) – Authorities are investigating a murder case in Wahpeton.
Valley News Live confirmed the information with the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Wahpeton Police Department around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officials from both departments say the Wahpeton police chief sent out a statement Wednesday, regarding information about the case. However, Valley News Live has not received any additional information from either department and none is available at the moment.
Richland County jail officials have also confirmed that no one has been recently booked on murder charges.
