Fargo (NDHP News Release) On Nov 28, at approximately 9:02 AM, the ND Highway Patrol was contacted by the Fargo Police Department in reference to a three vehicle Injury crash involving a school bus that had occurred on 25th street near 34th Ave South.


The North Dakota Highway Patrol Investigated the crash and learned a north bound travelling
Jeep Wrangler had stopped to make a left turn into Casey’s gas station. While stopped in the
left lane of 25th street and waiting for southbound traffic to clear, a northbound traveling
Fargo School bus failed to see the stopped Jeep and rear ended the Jeep.

The collision with the Jeep caused the Jeep to enter the southbound lane of 25 th street and strike a southbound traveling Ford Explorer. The Jeep then rolled onto its roof. The driver of the Jeep was ejected
as a result of the collision. After being struck the Explorer entered the eastside walk of 25th
street and struck a tree.

The driver of the Jeep was identified as 31-year-old Timothy Gruchow of Fargo, ND. Gruchow
sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was transported by FM Ambulance to the
Essentia Hospital. The driver of the Ford Explorer was identified as 51-year-old Evon Wilson of
Fargo, ND. Wilson sustained serious injuries and was transferred by FM Ambulance to the
Sanford Hospital. The school bus was being operated by the Valley Bus company. The driver
was identified as 66-year-old Rose Schlaht of Fargo, ND. Schlaht not injured in the crash. The
bus had already completed its daily route and no children were on board the bus at the time
of the crash.


25th street at the location of the crash was blocked off to the Public for approximately 2 hours
while the crash was being investigated. The Fargo Police Department assisted the North
Dakota Highway Patrol with the crash investigation. This crash and any related criminal
charges remain under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
