Harwood (NDHP) On December 4 th , 2022, at approximately 1:45 PM NDHP Troopers attempted to stop a 2005
Suzuki Motorcycle for speeding 71 mph in a 55 zone. The driver of the motorcycle fled
northbound on I-29 from the 19 th Ave exit in Fargo traveling at speeds that reached 120 mph.
The driver of the motorcycle took the Harwood exit and traveled eastbound entering the city
of Harwood. The pursuing NDHP Trooper terminated the pursuit after he observed the
motorcycle enter the city of Harwood.
Shortly after terminating the pursuit the NDHP Trooper observed the motorcycle had crashed
at the intersection of Main and Bender Ave. The driver of the motorcycle was running on foot
away from the crashed motorcycle further into the city of Harwood. The NDHP Trooper
initiated a foot pursuit and took the driver of the motorcycle into custody without incident.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 29-year-old Chase Dubord of Fargo, ND.
Dubord was not injured in the crash, or by being taken into custody. Dubord was arrested for
the following charges:
1. Fleeing a Police Officer- A misdemeanor.
2. Driving Under Revocation- B misdemeanor
3. Carrying a Concealed Weapon- A misdemeanor
4. Driving Under the Influence 2 nd offense- B misdemeanor
The motorcycle was towed from the scene of the crash. Other agencies involved include the
Cass County Sheriff’s Department. The case is still under investigation by the NDH
