jsdcJamestown, ND  (KCSi-T.V. News Aug 30, 2013)  —  DeAnn Brunner: Business Development Coordinator for JSDC has completed Credit Analysis course through the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

The course presented business financing tools available that used real life examples. The examples showcased how important it is for private and public to come together and help finance viable projects. More importantly it showcased the tools economic development professionals should use to determine if the project is a viable one. It taught students how to stimulate private sector investment that helps create permanent private sector jobs.

The course also taught students to perform credit analysis by determining how well a company buys and sells to make profit. “It enhanced my knowledge on how to read financial reports & financial statements” stated DeAnn. It gave students the tools needed to structure deals for business that often is a combination of public and private financing programs. “I now know what to look for when I have someone asking for a loan from JSDC” stated DeAnn Brunner.

The course is a requirement to sit for the certified economic development exam that DeAnn is striving for. To sit for the exam DeAnn has to complete a number of courses and be in economic development for 5 years.
