Jamestown improves to 10-2 overall and will finish their non-conference schedule with a game at Valley City State (N.D.) on December 30. Dickinson State falls to 5-8 and has now lost five of their last six games.
UJ opened the game on a 9-2 run, then DSU scored seven of the next nine to cut the lead to just two. The Jimmies would push the lead to six on two more occasions in the opening quarter before finishing with a 17-13 advantage.
Jamestown made 11 of 15 shots, including three three-pointers, in the second ten minutes on the way to a 32-point quarter. Audrey Rodakowski (JR/Dickinson, ND) made all four of her shots and converted a three-point play while Kate Cordes (FR/Shakopee, MN) was a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc as both players paced the offense with nine points. Tower added eight as UJ went on a 24-3 run to start the quarter. After Rodakowski’s basket made it 41-16, DSU ended a 4:01 scoreless streak as Kayden Steele made good on the and-one attempt with 3:40 to play before halftime. The Blue Hawks made only four of 15 shots overall, turning the ball over nine times.
Neither team shot the ball well in the third quarter. UJ finished at 24 percent while DSU connected at a 39 percent clip. DeMars scored back-to-back putbacks as Jamestown took a 32-point lead with 8:09 left in the third. After starting the third 3-for-6 from the field, the Jimmies ended 1-for-11. Fortunately, the Blue Hawks only got as close as 23 following a 9-0 run capped off by Hannah Labree’s three-pointer.
With the game in hand, UJ head coach Thad Sankey was able to get his reserves some minutes, and all 13 Jimmies that dressed saw action. DeMars had a team-high five points in the fourth while five other players scored at least two.
Rodakowski (16) and Cordes (12) also hit double-digit points for the Jimmies. Kate Busek (SO/Fargo, ND) grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists. Jamestown had a 33-10 advantage in points off turnovers and 38-24 in points in the paint.

Jamestown 121 Presentation College 79
Jamestown (UJ) Mason Walters scored a career-high 39 points and the ninth-ranked University of Jamestown men’s basketball team shot 70 percent from the field in a 121-79 non-conference win over Presentation (S.D.) Sunday afternoon at Harold Newman Arena.
The Jimmies won for the third straight game and are 11-2 overall. Presentation slips to one game under .500 at 5-6.
The first half was a shooting exhibition for UJ, as they made 25 of 34 shots overall (74 percent) and were 11 for 17 from three-point range. After the Saints got within 14-12 at the 15:28 mark, Marc Kjos (SR/Lake City, MN) swished home a three to start a 14-0 run that helped the lead balloon to 16 just under three minutes later.
Kjos canned two more long-range shots to give Jamestown leads of 24 and 27, then a Walters three put the Jimmies in front by 31 with 1:32 before the break. Walters was 10-for-11 overall for a 25-point half. Kjos hit on all five of his three-point attempts on the way to 17 points, and Jacob Axmaker (FR/Sublimity, OR) drained three threes for nine points.

Walters was 6-of-7, adding 14 points to his total in just over ten minutes. Axmaker and Garrett Kolbeck (FR/Tea, SD) each made a pair of threes, and 12 different Jimmies found their way into the scoring column in the second half. Fourteen players in all had points on the night. Presentation shot 50 percent after the break, but it was no match for UJ’s red-hot offense.
Cole Woodford (JR/Redwood Falls, MN) gave UJ its first 40-point lead with a basket that made it 86-46, and Kolbeck’s first trey gave Jamestown its biggest lead of the game, 109-60, with 5:09 to play.
