Jamestown (CSi) Water damage has caused the Alfred Dickey Public Library in Downtown Jamestown to be closed until further notice.
A water pipe burst with considerable damage to the interior of the building. A majority of books were saved, while many were lost.
Over this past weekend, library staff and volunteers cleaned up water and debris. Steam Brothers equipment helped with water removal.
Much cleanup remains and the full extent of the damage is yet to be determined.
During the ongoing cleanup, the after-school program has been moved to the Methodist Church, next to the library, meeting from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm on December 19th through December 21st.
The Stutsman County Library will be open Monday through Thursday 9:30 am to 8:00 pm, Friday from 9:30 to 6 pm, and Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm.
