Barbara Elaine Remmick, 71, of Jamestown, ND, passed peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, January 15th, 2023. She was born on March 28th, 1951, in Moorhead, MN, one of six daughters born to Edwin and Julianna (Gardner) Tweiten. She was raised in West Fargo, ND where she attended high school and was a proud Packer cheerleader and gymnast. She graduated from Tappen high school in 1969 where she met the love of her life, Ray Remmick. They were married March 10th, 1972.

Barb was well known for the love she had for others with a special type of devotion for her grandchildren, animals, and of course NDSU Bison football. Her smile would make anyone feel important and loved. Her ability to fight for those she loved was admirable, but beware of the wrath of a scorned grandma. She was kind, generous and loved to laugh (especially with her sisters). She maintained friendships with everyone she met and was known to tirelessly search for strangers lost pets. Any time spent with her and you would hear about her children and grandchildren, especially their athletic abilities that were undoubtedly from her.

She loved to shop (garage sales), and could find bargains that begged belief: if you wanted a good deal, get Barb involved! Her garden was ever-changing, and she loved to keep it as perpetually updated as her home, make-up and closets. Barb’s big, tireless, fun-loving, and passionate heart will be missed by many and cherished by all.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, Ray; children, Wade (Mindy), Coty (Kari), Jamie (Danie), Lakken (Jake); grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Gavyn, Jaxsyn, Savannah, Kenadie, and Eve; siblings, Betty Polaski, Patty Thurston, Glenda (Rodney) Hust; many nieces, nephews and all of the Remmick extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Julianna; step-father, John Dittel; sisters, Linda, Connie, Nancy; nephews, Van (Junior) Johnson, Nathan Hust, and parents-in-law Bertha and Albert Remmick.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.

Eddy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
