(JPD) On March 1, 2023, at approximately 5:35am the Jamestown Police Department received a report of a shooting in the 900 block of 4th Ave NE. On arrival, officers contacted a male with a gunshot to the arm. That male was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by Jamestown Ambulance, with the assistance of city maintenance crews and snow removal equipment.

A female who was involved in the altercation was detained and later arrested for Reckless Endangerment (C-felony). The incident remains under investigation. Additional charges are likely in this case. As a result of further investigation into Wednesday’s shooting in Jamestown, Jeffery Duane Nokleby, age 65 of Jamestown, has been charged with Aggravated Assault (Domestic). He was booked into the Stutsman County Correctional Center at 10:00am, March 2, 2023. He is currently waiting formal charges from the Stutsman County State’s Attorney. The incident remains under investigation.
