Jamestown, ND (CSi) The Jamestown Police Department received a report of an active shooter at the Jamestown High School on March 2, 2023, at approximately 10:07am.
The call came in on a JPD administrative phone line and was taken by Major Justin Blinsky. The caller reported that he was the shooter. This call was like other calls that have been received by a number of schools all over the country, and most recently today in other North Dakota Schools. Major Blinsky contacted the Jamestown Police Department’s School Resource Officer and was almost immediately able to determine there was no threat to the school. Out of an abundance of caution, the school district issued a shelter in place while officers walked through the building. An all clear was called within ten minutes of the original call.
