Pearl Foth, age 97, of Valley City, ND, died Sunday, March 5th at SMP Health-St. Raphael in Valley City. A celebration of Pearls life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 18th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Thursday and from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the church. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery near Fingal, ND.
Pearl Ellen Moldenhauer, the daughter of Robert and Emma (Mueller) Moldenhauer, was born September 23,1925, in Fargo, ND. Pearl grew up in the Embden/Chaffee area. On September 24, 1944, she married Edward G. Foth in Frazee, MN. The couple lived and worked in Fingal where Pearl worked at the Fingal School for many years and later at Puhr Mercantile, “Ferd’s Store”. In 1982, the couple moved to Valley City, Edward died September 17, 1993. Pearl continued to live in Valley City where she enjoyed her family and friends. She later moved to Bridgeview Estates Senior Center and in 2019 to SMP Health-St. Raphael where she enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles with staff and friends.
Pearl is survived by her children: Lydia Sturma, Mooreton, ND, Larry (Carol) Foth, Valley City, ND, Dennis (Connie) Foth, Brooklyn Park, MN and Ann (Phil) Sletmoe Bismarck, ND; 14 grandchild; 27 great-grand children; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, her son Kenny, her daughter Verlaun; three sisters, Lillian Spadgenske, Marjorie Muller and June Scharbow; a son-in-law Kent Sturma and a daughter-in-law Elanine (Holm) Foth.
