Do you homeschool, or have a child who wants to learn about the world around them and how it all works? James River Valley Library System has just what you need!
With help from a grant through the North Dakota State Library, we have added S.T.E.A.M items to our growing Library of Things Collection. Some of the items include a microscope, telescope, robots, magnetic experiment kits, rock tumbler, Snap Circuits, electronic flash cards, 3D virtual reality Merge Cube, graphing calculator, and so much more!
All the items in the S.T.E.A.M collection are meant to assist children with learning about science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics related topics. These items are available to borrow to all JRVLS library users, free with your library card! Children under 18 must have an adult borrow the items for them.
We will also be holding a fun program on Thursday, March 30 at 6:00 pm at Alfred Dickey Library to demonstrate how to use some of the new items. If interested, you may register on our website www.jrvls.org.
The Library of Things is located at Stutsman County Library, 910 5th St. SE in Jamestown, ND. For more information, call the Alfred Dickey Library at 701-252-2990, Stutsman County Library at 701-252-1531 or visit our website, www.jrvls.org.
