DICKINSON, N.D. (KFGO) – Four people were arrested in a major drug bust at an apartment building in Dickinson late Sunday.

42-year-old Aaron Baker was the subject of the investigation. Police say as they, the Southwest Narcotics Task Force, and a SWAT Team neared Baker’s apartment, he was spotted driving away from the scene but was stopped by officers.

As the SWAT Team entered the building with a search warrant, police say an upstairs neighbor started stomping on the floor to warn those in the apartment below. The SWAT Team made forced entry and found 45-year-old Demetrice Askew and 44-year-old Willy McCally inside. They were detained without incident.

A search turned up a pound of meth, 66-grams of cocaine, 15-grams of marijuana, fentanyl pills, $18,000 cash, and a stolen gun. Police believe that prior to SWAT entry, additional narcotics were flushed down a toilet.

Baker, Askew, and McCaulley were all arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and a number of other charges. The upstairs neighbor was also arrested for Hindering Law Enforcement.

Police say the charges may be enhanced as the apartment is directly across from an elementary school.
