On 04/01/2023, at approximately 8:57 pm, The Grand Forks Police Department responded to a shots fired call at 1110 Stanford Rd. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject on the 1st floor hallway with a gunshot wound. First responders attempted life saving measures on the male, who was later pronounced deceased at Altru.

Two firearms were recovered from the scene and all involved parties were identified. This appears to be an isolated incident with no additional danger to the public. The deceased male’s identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified. The investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
