Jamestown – Do you have a child who wants to learn about the world around them, and how it all works? James River Valley Library System has just what you need!
With help from a grant through the North Dakota State Library, we have added S.T.E.A.M items to our growing Library of Things Collection. Some of the items include a microscope, telescope, robots, magnetic experiment kits, rock tumbler, Snap Circuits, electronic flash cards, 3D virtual Merge Cube, graphing calculator, and so much more!
VLS will be holding a fun program on Monday, April 17 at 6:00 pm at Alfred Dickey Library to demonstrate how to use some of the new items. Kids and parents will have the opportunity to use the items during the event too! Registration is required for this event, please register on our website: https://www.jrvls.org/…/s-t-e-a-m-night-the-library…
All the items in the S.T.E.A.M collection are meant to assist children with learning about science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics related topics. These items are available to borrow to all JRVLS library users, free with your library card! Children under 18 must have an adult borrow the items for them.
The Library of Things is located at Stutsman County Library, 910 5th St. SE in Jamestown, ND. For more information, call the Alfred Dickey Library at 701-252-2990, Stutsman County Library at 701-252-1531 or visit our website www.jrvls.org.
