During the month of April, Stutsman County will observe National County Government Month (NCGM) to showcase how the county achieves its responsibilities to the public.
This year, Stutsman County will observe NCGM with a range of events that will highlight multiple County functions including the County Road Department, Sheriff’s Office, Courthouse Departments, Communication Center, Corrections Center, and Parks Department.
An Open House is being planned at the Courthouse on Friday, April 21 for the public to meet with county officials and to learn more about the many functions of county government. More information regarding NCGM will be available throughout the month on the Stutsman County Facebook page.
“Stutsman County is proud of the programs and services we provide to our residents,” said Board Chair Mark Klose. “I encourage all county residents to participate in National County Government Month outreach events to learn about the role our county plays.”
Since 1991, counties across the nation have been encouraged to promote National County Government Month to raise public awareness about county roles and responsibilities during the month of April.
