SIOUX CITY, Iowa– Hayden Brown of the Jimmie baseball team has been named GPAC Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Brown,a junior from Buckeye, Ariz., hit .500 with 4 HR and 8 RBI in 16 at bats for Jamestown last week. He posted an on-base percentage of .600 and slugging percentage of 1.313. In a 22-5 win over Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), he had two homers and four RBI. Brown enters the GPAC postseason tournament with a .358 average, 10 home runs, and 33 RBI.
Jamestown (27-17, 16-10 GPAC) will face Mount Marty (S.D.) in the GPAC postseason tournament on Thursday.
