Jamestown—(SCF) The 126th Stutsman County Fair will feature returning and entertainment during its run from June 11-June 15, say board members.

Daily Admission: Adults (13 yo and older) $7, Age 7 to 12 $4, Age 6 and under FREE. Four day passes are $17 for adults and $10 for youth.

The largest county fair in the state will open on Wednesday, June 11. The fair draws on average 20,000 to 25,000 attendance each year to take in the music, amusement rides, merchants exhibits, Home and Hobby exhibits, Stutsman County 4-H livestock and exhibits, FFA exhibits, entertainment and food.

Amusement Midway Providers will have the amusement rides on the midway this year. The midway and gates open at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and at 1 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. MEGA RIDE PASS ride all day for only $70 by June 12.

Musical entertainment

Wednesday June 12 is The Train Wrecks feature Old school country with a mix of rock n’ roll. Local band from Jamestown, ND!

Thursday June 13 is Eli Alger and the Faster Horses performs country music and has opened for Randall King, Eric Paslay, Lorrie Morgan, Jesse Keith Whitely, James Carothers and Tyler Booth. The band has performed at the Alan Jackson official after-party at the Iowa State Fair and a Garth Brooks tailgate after-party among other events.

Friday June 14 is Booz·N·Tuna is a 1980s hard rock cover band from Bismarck. It has opened for national acts including KX, Saving Abel, Firehouse, Enuff Z’Nuff, Hairball and more.

Saturday June 15 is Lizzy Hofer Band is back featuring Country and Rock But don’t be surprised if you hear Johnny Cash, Def Leppard, Journey, Shania Twain, Katy Perry, yodeling, or even an original song!

The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show runs all four days!

A Stutsman County Queen Contest will be held with coronation on June 9.

Work to put on fair

The Stutsman County Fair Board consists of nine members who work to make improvements at the site as well as put on a fair that people from the area will enjoy.

“We’re (Stutsman County) obviously rural, farmers and ranchers. That‘s what supports our community and that’s kind of the basis of the fair,” Wilhelm said.

Each board members each have a specific job to do and work with each other to make the fair happen.

“A lot of volunteers, community support,” Wilhelm added, noting there is a lot of work to go into the four days of the fair.

The fair offers electronic ticketing, along with tickets at the gate, and has a new website, www.stutsmancountyfair.com .
