A 2008 GMC Yukon attempted to make a left turn when a 2021 Yamaha motorcycle attempted to pass vehicles waiting to turn. When the motorcycle went to pass, it struck the 2008 GMC Yukon already partially in the left turn, striking the drivers side of the vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle was brought to the Williston Medical Center and later transferred to Fargo with serious injuries. The driver of SUV was un-injured. The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
