Bottineau County plane crash
The N.D. Highway Patrol reports a 48-year-old Westhope man injured when the plane he was flying crashed near Westhope. The crash occurred June 22, 2023, about 12:20 p.m.
The 1965 Piper Pawnee airplane departed from the New Hope Airport at Westhope and then crashed into a field to the northwest of the airport.
N.D. Highway Patrol responded along with the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Department, Westhope Fire Department, Westhope Ambulance and Trinity First Response.
The pilot was transported by Trinity First Response for serious injuries. The crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
