The University of Jamestown women’s golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the Siouxland Invite. They competed today at Landsmeer Golf Course in Orange City, Iowa.
Day one results:
As a team, the Jimmies shot 52-over 338, ten shots ahead of Dakota Wesleyan and one shot behind Briar Cliff.
Isabella Crafford (FR/Somerset West, South Africa) is in second place after the first round with a 4-over 76. Faith Justesen (SR/Hawley, Minn.) shot at 12-over 84 and is tied for 18th. Karsyn Swigart (FR/Miles City, Mont.) and Celi Nelson (SO/Elbow Lake, Minn.) shot at 17-over 89 and are tied for 34th. Kyra Vogel (JR/Jamestown, N.D.) shot at 23-over 95 and is tied for 54th.
The Jimmies compete in the final round tomorrow (September 7th) at The Ridge Golf Course in Sioux Center, Iowa, starting at 10:00 AM.
