Bismarck, N.D. – Caliber Midstream notified state agencies that a pipeline they operate released Yellowstone River water near Alexander in McKenzie County. The reported 4,250-barrel (178,500-gallon) spill impacted agricultural land. Personnel from the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality are at the location investigating and collecting samples. They will continue to oversee the remediation. Federal and state laws require operators to report the spillage of any materials that may pollute water, air or soil.
