The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a new high risk sex offender who is residing within the city of Jamestown.
61 years of age, Matthew Carl Dyer, resides at 1009 5 Ave NE, Jamestown, ND 58401, he has no vehicle.
Dyer is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, and has brown eyes and Gray hair.
Mr. Dyer has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.
Offense: Gross Sexual Imposition – 3 counts. On three occasions, Dyer engaged in oral sex with 14 year old boy while a 16 year old boy engaged in sex with Dyer. Dyer did not compete sex offender treatment while incarcerated. Within three months of release, Dyer was found with two teenage boys in his residence and was subsequently civilly committed as a sexually dangerous individual.
Conviction date: 2/09/1993 in Stark County. Disposition: 10 years; 5 1/2 years suspended for 5 years; 195 days credit; 5 years supervised probation.
Gooden is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This
notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this
information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or
threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
