NDHP – At 3:15pm Monday Nov 13, a combine equipped with a header was heading westbound, and the van was eastbound. The van struck head-on with the part of the header that was in the eastbound lane and fatally injured Benjamin Shearer of Stewart, MS. Shearer was the driver of the van. The van and combine were immobilized on the roadway of ND 66. The driver of the combine, Lawrence Weber of Devils Lake, was uninjured. The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
