Valley City State’s Bailey Nelson, Sadie Hansen and Danielle Hagler were each named 1st Team All-Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
 
Bailey Nelson, a 6-foot senior, earned her second straight All-Region nod after leading the Vikings with 378 kills as an outside hitter. She posted 3.3 kills per set on a .248 attack percentage in 2023. The Argusville, N.D. native finishes her Viking career ranked 4th all-time in total kills (1,505) and 8th in kills per set (2.97). Nelson posted a season-high 17 kills in a win over Central Methodist University in the NAIA Volleyball Championship Opening Round. She added 67 digs and 40 blocks for the Vikings this season. Nelson was also named 1st Team All-Conference this season.
 
Sadie Hansen, a 5-foot-9 junior, was named 1st Team All-Region for the first time after being named Honorable Mention last season. Her 11.27 assists per set ranked 4th in the NAIA and 2nd in the VCSU record books. Hansen anchored the Vikings all-around this season, totaling 1,285 assists, 348 digs, 92 kills and 47 blocks this season. The Oakes, N.D. native eclipsed 3,000 assists this season and currently ranks 2nd in VCSU history with 3,301 assists in her career. She posted a season-high 54 assists in a five-set win over Mount Marty. Hansen was also named 1st Team All-Conference and NSAA Setter of the Year in 2023.
 
Danielle Hagler, a 5-foot-11 sophomore, has earned her first All-Region accolade this season. Hagler totaled 296 kills on a .326 hitting percentage this season which ranks 3rd in VCSU history. The Cando, N.D. native also tallied 104 total blocks on the season (10 solo, 94 assisted) and ranks 5th in VCSU history. Hagler recorded a career-high 18 kills in a four-set win over Concordia-Moorhead and posted a career-best eight blocks in a sweep over Waldorf. She was also named 1st Team All-Conference.
 
Each region named 14 student-athletes to the All-Region team, and eight players earned honorable mention honors.
