NDHP – On January 8 at 11:52am the driver, Randy Kachan 71-year-old, of a 2010 Kenworth Semi with trailer was southbound on Highway 3, coming from Manitoba and heading to Fessenden. The driver of the SUV was heading eastbound on Highway 19. The driver of the SUV failed to yield for the southbound semi. The SUV was struck in a right-angle manner. The driver, Susann Traiser 78-year-old, sustained fatal injuries and the female passenger, Marion Uhlich 81-year-old, sustained severe injuries. The passenger was transported to Trinity in Minot. The names will be released at a later time.

The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
