UJ – The Jimmies took the lead in the first seven minutes managing to get up 13-9. The Defenders responded with five unanswered points to get ahead one.
In the next few minutes, the Jimmies hit quadruple threes along with three jumpers to lead the Defenders 31-23.
Out of a timeout, the Defenders took 10 points to the Jimmies three to trail by one. With two minutes to go, the Defenders took a 37-36 lead.
The Jimmies final points of the half were two from Silas Bennion and three from Cole Woodford. Four points from the Defenders ended the half in a 41-41 tie.
Bennion led the half with 14 points, Antonio Chandler followed with nine.
Jimmy Llinas had seven first half rebounds.
The Defenders pulled away in the beginning of the second half, gaining a lead of seven. The Jimmies quickly put up points to get within two but could not get any closer the rest of the game.
The Jimmies started to foul in order to get possession, but the Defenders had gained a double figure lead and with that took the road win, 92-79
Colby Vazquez led the second half with nine points, Bennion followed with eight.
Jimmy Llinas grabbed 10 more rebounds.
FOR THE JIMMIES
Silas Bennion had 22 points.
Cole Woodford (13), Colby Vazquez (12), and Antonio Chandler (10) followed in double figures.
Jimmy Llinas led rebounding with 17.
FOR THE DEFENDERS
Lucas Lorenzen had 29 points and seven rebounds.
Bryce Coppock had 21 points and eight rebounds.
