A benefit for Sam Hill will be held Sat Feb 17, 5pm to 7pm at the Eagles Club in Valley City.

A free will offering meal (baked potato bar) as well as other activities to help Sam’s family with the initial and ongoing expenses of the trained Seizure Response Service Dog that Sam has qualified for. Come on out for some food and camaraderie as we support Sam!

Sam Hill, Leonard, is a 15-year old boy who has been struggling with seizures for three years due to Refractory Epilepsy, which is a drug-resistant epilepsy. Sam faces a higher risk of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). To improve his safety, Sam has been approved for a seizure response service dog to provide immediate alerts during seizures and to increase his ability to participate in school and social activities. An online Lend A Hand Up fundraiser has been launched to help the family with the significant costs of training and travel associated with the service dog.
