Jean was born to John and Helen (Wurzer) Bosch on October 23, 1934 in Valley City ND.  They lived on a farm outside of Fingal ND and later moved to Valley City where Jean went to St. Catherine’s Catholic School, VCHS, and College High.   Jean married the love of her life Edgar “Bud” Tabor Jr. April 9, 1956 in Detroit Lakes, MN.  They lived a short time in Buffalo, ND and then they made their home in Valley City where they both were employed for many years at the Times Record, Bud being the Production Manager and Jean their Darkroom Technician.  Jean enjoyed her time as a telephone operator in her late teen years too.  Jean was an avid painter who had a passion for southwest art. She loved going thru all the art galleries and shops in Jackson, WY, Sedona, AZ and all the galleries up and down the Pacific coast on their annual trips.   Those who knew Jean most likely had a photo or two taken from her as she always had a camera on her wherever she went.  Jean entered many art shows and contests over the years with her beautiful paintings and photographs.  Jean also made thousands of  homemade cards for everyone she knew for every occasion; weddings, birthdays, graduations, and get-well cards.  Jean loved to spend time at her home on her decks planting flowers, feeding birds, painting, making cards and reading. She enjoyed motorcycling in her earlier years as well as camping with her children all over the western part of USA in about every part of the Rocky Mountains from southern Colorado to the Rockies in Canada.  Jean loved sharing her love and passion for mountain scenery with her children.
