Charges: DUI, DUR, Reckless Endangerment, Fleeing

NARRATIVE: On Monday night just after 11:00 PM the NDHP responded to numerous calls of a wrong way driver traveling southbound in the northbound lanes on Interstate 29. The wrong-way driver was originally reported in Trail County and continued into Cass County where the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and NDHP attempted to stop it utilizing emergency lights and siren. A short pursuit ensued at approximately 60 miles per hour before the NDHP utilized a successful pursuit intervention technique (PIT) to stop the fleeing vehicle. The fleeing vehicle was forced to a stop in the east ditch and the driver was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries resulted in the incident.
