Wednesday March 6th at 1pm The Alzheimer’s Association is holding a meeting on “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia” at SMP Health – Ave Maria. Family and community Members are welcome.
Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It’s a disease of the brain that causes problems with the memory, thinking and behavior.
The topics covered in this meeting are:
- The difference between Alzheimer and dementia
- Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors
- Current research and treatments available to address some symptoms
- What are some healthy habits we can all implement into our lifestyles
- Positive communication strategies working with common behaviors
- Highlights from the latest research
- Alzheimer’s Association resources
- Questions and answers – discussion time
