WICHITA, Kan. – Two members from the University of Jamestown men’s wrestling team competed at the 2024 NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championship, which concluded Saturday evening at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan.

Isaiah Miller, the 2024 GPAC champion at 133 pounds, entered the tournament unseeded. His first match was against 15th-seeded Dillon Witt of Missouri Baptist, and Miller came away with a 10-0 major decision win.

Miller faced number-two seed Jovan Garcia of Menlo (Calif.), and Garcia won by 20-3 tech fall. Facing elimination, Miller needed a victory over Oklahoma City’s Cooper Mahaffey, but Mahaffey won a 16-12 decision to end Miller’s national run.

Jake Rau entered the tournament unseeded at 197 pounds. Against 16th-seeded Carl Hansen of Montana State-Northern, Rau lost a 5-2 decision, then dropped a 13-4 major decision to Vanguard (Calif.)’s Isaiah Hernandez.
