Sioux City – University of Jamestown men’s volleyball team remained undefeated in Great Plains Athletic Conference play this season, sweeping Morningside University 3-0 Thursday evening at RVSC-Allee Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies opened with a .684 hitting percentage in the first set, making only one error in 19 attempts.
- Morningside was hanging on to a 7-6 lead until UJ won the next four points, forcing the Mustangs to call timeout.
- The Jamestown run ended with a Morningside kill but a kill by Swiderski began a stretch of three straight and seven of the next eight points.
- After an attack error by UJ saw the Jimmies’ lead cut to 13-10, Camden Steckler‘s kill was the first of five straight points that helped Jamestown stretch the lead to 18-10.
- Morningside got not closer than eight points the rest of the way, and kills by Caydann Cox and Jennings were the final two points in a 25-15 win.
- Another large run in the third set proved to be the difference as Jamestown took the match with another 25-15 win.
- Seven out of the next eight points turned a 7-5 game into a comfortable 14-6 advantage.
- Morningside put together a small run to get with 22-15, but three in a row by the Jimmies clinched the match.
