Donna Grindler, age 91, of Valley City, ND, formerly of Rogers, ND, died Sunday, April 14th at CHI-Mercy Hospital in Valley City.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 19th at the SMP Health-St. Raphael Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery.  An online guestbook and livestream of Donna’s service will be available at www.lerudmathias.com.

Donna June Krause, the daughter of William and Verna (Chamberlin) Krause, was born June 29, 1932 in Becker County, Minnesota.  Donna grew up on the family farm near Height of Land Lake, MN.  She was the fourth child born to William and Verna, she had two brothers and one sister, Laurence, Luella and Keith.  On May 25, 1952 Donna married the love of her life, Marlow Grindler in Detroit Lakes, MN.  The couple lived and farmed near Rogers, ND until they retired in 1994.  Donna enjoyed her garden, flowers and crafts.  When anyone stopped for a visit, they would be invited in for a great conversation and plenty to eat.  Her love at Christmas was to make sure all of her family had their favorite fudge, candy and Christmas Cookies.  Donna and Marlow lived on the farm together until Marlow passed away on December 29, 2016.  Donna later became a resident of SMP Health-St. Raphael in Valley City.  She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Rogers and the East Rogers Homemakers Club.

Donna is survived by her four children, Trudy (Wally) Albaugh, Nancy (Bob) Ryerson, Sherry Grindler and Lenny Grindler; 10 grandchildren; 25 Great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marlow, two brothers, Laurence Krause and Keith Krause and one sister, Luella Peterson.
