Shelly Andersen, 61, Jamestown, ND died Sunday, April 14, 2024, at her home in Jamestown.
Shelly Ann was born May 25, 1962, at Fort Lauderdale, FL the daughter of Harold and Ottilie (Calinci) Arnott. She grew up in the area and graduated from Cooper High School. She worked as a secretary for a fleet dealership.
She and Jeff Andersen were married March 15, 1986, in Hollywood, FL, they then moved to Phoenix, AZ. Due to Jeff’s work, they lived in Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Vancouver Island BC, Florida, and Maryland until settling in Jamestown in 1998 where she has since resided. Shelly was a kind and generous person, and when you spent time with her, you probably smiled, laughed, and went away feeling better than you did before. She had that gift of projecting love and kindness in the gentlest way. She was always a positive person you wanted to be with.
Shelly loved spending time with family, friends, her animals, especially her grandchildren and her daughter Kasey. She had a love for music, loved being on stage performing in plays at the Jamestown Art Center. Shelly played her ukelele and sang happy birthday songs to friends on their birthday. She was a very special person.
Shelly is survived by her husband, Jeff; daughter Kasey, Jamestown, ND; grandchildren, Kierran and Kamden; sister, Barb Randall, Denver, CO; Aunt, Nancy Fishburn; cousin, Johnny Miller; close friends, Debbie Scherr , Chris Sheppard, and The Golden Girls, Rose Pitts, Vickie Hattlewick, & Tammy Schwenn; many nieces and nephews and 3 brother in-laws, Rodney (Phyllis) Andersen, Grand Forks, ND, Randy Andersen, Gainesville, FL, and Butch Forester, Jamestown, ND; golden retriever, Gauge; cats, Cielo & Shayla, Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Mark & Scott Arnott; brother-in-law, Gary Andersen; sister-in-law, Susan Forester; nephew, Kristopher Forester; her cat Boo, and dogs Titus, Ruger, & Bruno.
There is a special person that Shelly, Kasey, and I would want to thank for being in our life. Her cardiologist, Dr. Heidi Conolly who cared for her the last 27 years of her life. Shelly always called her my sister from another mister. We were blessed to have her in our family.
