On April 20 at 1:55am a Lincoln was southbound on Highway 30 when the driver lost control leaving the roadway.

The vehicle struck the guardrail for the bridge and began rotating coming to rest facing north
in the west ditch.

The 71-year-old-male was treated on scene by the Maddock Ambulance before being
transported to SMP Health – St Aloisius in Harvey. He was treated for his serious injuries in
Harvey before being transport by Sanford AirMed for further care at Sanford in Bismarck.
The 71-year-old male was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol
