On April 25 at Farmer Union Headquarters, Mayor Dwaine Heinrich gave his first ever State of the City address. Mayor Heinrich spoke of the future Bison World and bringing a fertilizer plant to physical existence.
Taxes are a main concern: Mayor Heinrich stated the property tax elimination proposal must not succeed, and the public must be warry against it. If it would go through North Dakota finances may have troubles. The state would be practically bankrupt in a very short amount of time. The Legacy Fund would be “Squandered”.
Mayor Heinrich says to bring people to Jamestown it will take hard work, and progress. He also praised Jamestown Economic development, drawing in new businesses and breakthroughs in development. Mayor Heinrich praises the the hard work that brings a community, like Jamestown, together when people work together.
