NDHP – On June 13th, 2024, at approximately 10:55 pm a two-vehicle head-on injury crash occurred at
the intersection of Cass Co. Rd. 17 and 6th Ave N in Horace, ND.
McKenzie Moser, 18 YOA was traveling southbound on Co. Rd. 17 in the Buick and crossed into the northbound lane and into the path of the Honda driven by a 16 YOA female. The vehicles struck head-on in the northbound lane of Co. Rd. 17 at the intersection with 6th Ave N.
After colliding, the Buick came to rest in the northbound lane facing south and remained
upright. The Honda came to rest facing north, partially in the ditch in the southeast corner of
the intersection. The Honda remained upright as well.
Moser’s vehicle was involved in a hit and run property crash in the city limits of Fargo prior to
this crash. Further details of this crash can be found with Fargo PD.
The three juvenile occupants in the Honda were all transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
The 16 YOA driver and 14 YOA passenger were transported by Sanford Ambulance. The 16
YOA passenger was transported by Sanford Life Flight. All three suffered serious injuries.
Moser was arrested on scene and transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. She was charged
with DUI and DUI-Refusal. She remains hospitalized for her injuries.
The names of the juveniles will not be released.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol and Cass County
Sheriff’s Office.
