On June 16th, 2024, at approximately 2:04 AM, a semi-truck rolled over on I-29 southbound at MM 65, near the Main Ave exit in the city of Fargo.

The driver of the Volvo semi-truck Sukhveer Singh was traveling southbound when he mistook the shoulder for the 13th Ave S exit and drove off the roadway. When entering the ditch, the fully loaded trailer caused the semi-truck to overturn onto its side in the west ditch. The truck/trailer came to rest in the west ditch of I-29.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured. The co-driver/passenger Kuldip Singh , sustained none life threatening injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital.

The right southbound lane was closed for approximately 6 hours to allow emergency crews and tow services room to remove the semi-truck from the west ditch of I-29.
