Michael “Mike” Sheets, Age 72, of Jamestown, ND passed away on July 3, 2024.  He was born on January 25, 1952 which began a childhood of raising cain and early mischievous adulthood until in 1976, he made the best decision of his life by marrying Marilyn “Dolly” Buchmann in Goodrich, ND, the town they both grew up together in.  He joined the Army Airborne Rangers on March 27, 1980 with basic training at Ft. Benning, GA, but broke his ankle and hip in a parachute accident which ended in an honorable discharge on July 23, 1980.  He worked hard, giving his best years to Burlington Northern Railroad for 5 years and the remaining 35 years of his working life as a welder for Wedge Corp. and then Duratech companies of Jamestown.  He is now reunited with his parents, Orville and Joyce Sheets, and his brothers Orville Jr “Skip”, Richard “Ricky”, and Dan Sheets.  His most important purpose in life was family, which he achieved through having 3 beautiful daughters: Alecia “Ally”, Amanda “Manda”, and Rebecca “Becky”.  His legacy lives on in his 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  His afterlife will be spent yelling at Packer games, fishing and arguing with his brother Dan over history, riding his 1977 red Yamaha motorcycle, watching movies with his mom, listening to music, reading, and playing tricks on anyone who is lucky enough to cross paths with him on the other side.
