NDHP – On July 21st at 8:31pm, a 2003 Suzuki ATV being driven by Jeremiah Burner was traveling southbound on 47th St SE shortly after turning left from 34th Ave SE. A dog was running alongside the ATV when it ran in front of the ATV’s path. Jeremiah steered left to avoid the dog, but overcorrected, losing control of the ATV. The ATV rolled and both occupants were ejected onto the pavement. The ATV came to rest in the middle of the roadway facing NE on its wheels. Jeremiah sustained serious injuries and was transported by Trinity First Response
Ambulance to Trinity Hospital. The passenger, MaryAnn Burner, was also transported by Trinity First Response Ambulance to Trinity Hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
