NDHP – On August 4 at 3:15pm a Chevy Trailblazer was traveling southbound on State Street in Bismarck at a high rate of speed. Driven by, Antonio Garcia, lost control of the vehicle and drove off the roadway crashing into the west ditch across from the Heritage Center. Juvenile in vehicle was transported to Sanford Hospital for minor injury. Garcia was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with minor present. Male juvenile was not restrained in seatbelt or child restraint system at time of crash. Garcia is also charged with reckless driving, driving under suspension, and child neglect. Crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
