VCPD – The Valley City Police Department has been receiving an increased number of scam reports. The Police would like to remind the public that the law enforcement agencies will never threaten you over the phone and demand money to make a warrant or arrest go away. They would also like to remind you to never give out personal information to people you do not know for promise of a prize or award. Often scammers will ask for gift cards or the information on the back of the cards to claim a prize. If anyone demands money to get a prize be careful as it is a scam.
