NDHP – On August 26 at 10:15pm a motorcycle was eastbound and a NDHP Trooper was westbound on US 2 near MM 340. The Trooper clocked the motorcycle at 97 MPH. The Trooper attempted to catch up to the motorcycle to stop it for the speeding violation and was able to get closer near MM 344 on US 2. When the Trooper activated his emergency red and blue lights to stop the motorcycle, the motorcycle drifted off the roadway into the median and rolled. The driver was ejected. The driver was brought to Altru Hospital to be treated for his injuries. The crash remains under investigation currently by the NDHP.
