On September 9 at 11am a Peterbilt was eastbound on 6th Avenue NE, at the stop sign regulated intersection. A 2018 Ford F-150 was northbound on 36th Street NE. The Peterbilt entered the intersection and struck the Ford. The Ford came to rest in the east ditch on the northeast corner of the intersection, facing east. The Peterbilt came to rest on 6th Avenue NE, on the east side of the intersection.

Maurice Forde 79 years old from Northwood, was the driver of the Ford, was transported to Northwood Deaconess Hospital by Northwood Ambulance Service.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
