Sanborn, ND (NDHP) A three-vehicle property crash occurred on Interstate 94 eastbound near MM 283, (near Sanborn), due to a wrong way vehicle driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of travel Sept 14, 2024, at approximately 8:39 PM
Skyler Holub was operating a Ford Escape traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of travel. A U-Haul truck operated by Kory Russel, and a Buick Century operated by Peyton Glassic, were traveling eastbound in the correct lanes of travel. Both observed the wrong way driving Ford Escape and took evasive action. These evasive actions avoided a head on collision with the Ford Escape.
The Ford Escape struck both vehicles in a side-swipe collision. The Ford Escape then entered the south ditch of Interstate 94 coming to rest in the ditch. No one was injured in the crash.
The wrong way driver Skyler Holub was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless endangerment. This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
